Donation Drive for LA Fire Victims

January 17 | 10AM - 8PM

Mission Valley is hosting a donation drive for the Los Angeles Fire victims sponsored by Shaback Altruistic Inc. with partners World Vision, GODRadio1.com, Kristie Bruce-Lane, and a host of volunteers.

Join us as we come together as a community to provide relief and hope to those affected by the recent fires in Los Angeles. This impactful event will focus on collecting clothing and household items to aid disaster-stricken families.

  • Friday, January 17

  • 10AM – 8PM

  • Parking lot in front of Village Shops (Jared's, Chipotle, Corner Bakery)

  • World Vision will have a truck on-site to collect donations, which will be directly transported to LA relief centers.

How You Can Help

1. Donate Essential Items: Bring gently used clothing and household essentials to the World Vision truck on the day of the event. Every contribution makes a difference. Items needed include:

  • Basic Necessities:

    • Food and water

    • Clothing

    • Blankets and bedding

    • Personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, etc.)

    • Diapers and baby formula

  • Medical Supplies:

    • First aid kits

    • Prescription medications

    • N95 masks to protect against smoke inhalation

  • Shelter:

    • Temporary housing (tents, sleeping bags)

    • Assistance with finding long-term housing solutions

  • Financial Assistance:

    • Monetary donations to help with rebuilding homes and replacing lost belongings

    • Gift cards for groceries and other essentials

  • Emotional Support:

    • Counseling services for trauma and stress

    • Support groups for those affected by the disaster

  • Pet Supplies:

    • Food and water for pets

    • Temporary shelters for displaced animals

2. Volunteer Your Time: Sign up to assist during the event. Volunteers will help collect, organize, and load donations. Contact Shaback Altruistic Inc. at 619-519-9090 to reserve a shift.

3. Spread the Word:

  • Share this event with friends, family, and on social media.

  • Encourage local businesses and retailers to participate by spreading the word or donating.
